Jiang Wei, whose literary is Boyue, was bore in Jicounty, Tianshui (now Guangudong, Gansu province) in the period of three kingdoms. He was a general of Wei kingdom and later submitted to Shu kingdom. He was valued by Zhuge Liang and was appointed Zhengxi General. When Zhuge Liang died, he took Liang’s place and became the senior general. He led the srmy to attack Wei many a time without results. When Wei’s army attacked Shu, he defended Jiange persistently. Liu Chan, the emperor of Shu, surrendered to Wei and Jiang Wei was forced to submit to Zhong Hui plotted to ally with him, hoping to restore Shu kingdom by the chance. However the plot was disclosed and Jiang Wei was killed.
