Facial-Make of Beijing Opera

Xu Chu, whose literary name is Zhongkang, was born in Qiao (now Bocounty, Anhui province). In the late East Han Dynasty, he assembled thousands of his clan families to construct Wu Wall to defend against peasant in surrectionists. Later he submitted to Cao Cao and served as Suwei, Following Cao to attack Zhang Xiu, Yuan Shao and Ma Chao etc. He fought fearlessly and made contributions, and was appointed Zhonglangjiang, then Wuwei general. He is famous for his strength and bravery, being called Huchi among the army.
