In the Chinese romance Outlaws of the Marsh, Lu Zhishen, the profligate monk, is a Bandit. But in story, the bandit is a representation of righteousness, and govement is corrupt and bad. The Bandit often attacked government's army to help common people whose was pressed by government.

Lu ZhiShen is important person in story, he have very high kung fu, and be good at liquoring. Once, he drunk, and found many crows was clamoring on a big willow. He was very angry, but he could not drive away the crows because of the willow is very high as 25 feet. He was violent rage, and went to the side of willow, enclasped the willow. And then the miraculous thing happen, the willow was plucked up and falled down by Lu ZhiShen. This is very famous story in china.
